Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have machine @ work which has Ubuntu 10.04, I have connected to LAB network to one of the port (eth0) and manually configured proxy it works just fine. But if I have to VPN to another third party I have to use another network cable (which talks externally) If I replace with this cable on eth0 and direct internet connection I will be able to connect VPN to other network (VPN symbol I see) and can browse internet but can not ping or http access. Any idea what might be blocking? Actually some of our colleagues who are in China can access the third party via VPN, I am in US so anything do I need to configure from my end?

One more question, in my machines I see 2 ethernet ports so can I put both LAB Network wire and other external facing network (Used to connect VPN), access both any idea?
