I am trying to use ipv6 autoconfiguration to configure a tun interface. everything seems fine with router-solocitations being sent and router advertisements being received and tun0 interface configures for a prefix+interface_identifier where prefix was received in router advertisement. I can do an ifconfig and see the FE80::xx and prefix::xx ip6 addrs. However at the same time i see a message in kernel logs saying "no routers present" and when i try to ping ping6 -I tun0 prefix::yy address I get "network is unreachable" message. and i dont see an entry for prefix:: when i do a "ip -6 route". Why kernel is complaining for no routers present when it can configure from a router advertisement.?

regards
