I updated my computer just now and inexplicably the language changed from Arabic to English. I can't figure out why, and the /etc/default/locale file has Arabic listed. Whenever I try to open the language support tab in the System Settings, a window opens that says it is checking for language support but quickly disappears without opening the language support options. I have had an Arabic language interface for years now without a problem, but it was just after updating my computer with some web server stuff that it has decided to get gentrified. I don't get it. I have Ubuntu 12.10, and I've had it for a while.
EDIT: Also, when I go to the Keyboard layout part of System Settings and try to add a region to the "Formats" tab, the entire box just disappears.
