Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Yesterday I made a 10GB file with crunch and when I tried to view it with nano in the terminal my system froze. I shutdown the PC, and now when I try to load Ubuntu it says Intel drm MUX INFO call failed. I erased the OS, then it did the same thing trying to reinstall I had to enter settings and put acpi=off to get the CD to boot. I reinstalled and it's doing the same thing.

I tried the recovery console, and it hangs saying this:

no driver support for vblank timestamp query
firmware bug acpi(pegp) defines _DOD but not _DOS

How can I fix this? I'm lost without my Linux.
