I am using a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop, with ubuntu 13.04 and Win7. Recently I had an issue with unmet dependencies (of wine1.6 if I remember correctly). I managed to resolve that with the help of : How do I resolve unmet dependencies? After rebooting though, my wifi and ethernet both stopped working, with the error being :"No network devices available." Also, audio stopped working, with a "Dummy Output" being shown in the sound settings. I couldn't get either the sound or the internet to work after trying many solutions in this forum.

These are outputs from the terminal that may help.

The wifi works properly in windows. The driver being used right now in ubuntu is bcmwl-kernel-source. I have tried using b43-firmware-installer along with b43-fwcutter but it also didn't work. Reinstalling bcmwl-kernel-source also didn't work. To get the internet working is my main priority right now. I am reluctant to reinstall ubuntu as I have it all configured and don't want to go through everything again. Can anyone please help?

Thanks in advance!

Yes I understand. It's just that the sound issue isn't a priority right now, but I wanted to include it on the off-chance that it may be relevant. Sorry!! –  Ayush Jul 10 '13 at 16:17
