I get an error Failed to download repository information when I try to update on my Ubuntu 12.10 pc.
This is what appears in the details block:

W:GPG error: http://archive.getdeb.net precise-getdeb InRelease: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY A8A515F046D7E7CF,
W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/wallch/version-3-ppa/ubuntu/dists/quantal/main/source/Sources 404 Not Found

These are two different issues. The first issue can be solved by typing sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys A8A515F046D7E7CF in a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T). The answer to the second issue can be found here: How can I fix a 404 Error using a PPA?. –  Alaa Jul 9 '13 at 9:34
