Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

The install procedure worked until reboot. I installed 13.04 alongside Windows XP. But booting from the grub menu results in a blank screen. XP professional is on one disk, and 13.04 on another disk. Since 13.04 is useless to me, I want to remove it.

How do I uninstall it?

Thanks for the simplifying edit. As it currently stands, it seems this already has an answer at How to remove Ubuntu and put Windows back on?, and can be considered a duplicate of that question. If you believe that does not address this, please edit your post again for clarification (and you may want to comment as well--if you include @EliahKagan in your comment, I'll be notified). In case you ever do decide to try Ubuntu again and have a similar problem, this may help. –  Eliah Kagan Jul 3 '13 at 16:52
