I have Ubuntu 12.04, and I need help. I have downloaded 'Desktop Sharing" and "Remmina Remote Desktop Client". How exactly do I use it and how do I get set up with both apps? < file:///home/ashka/Desktop/Ubuntu:%20help%20needed.png > I screenshot the apps and I need as much information on how to activate and use it.

First of all, make sure you insert the image by pressing the "img" button in the options of the question's editor. After which a dialog box will allow you to choose your screenshot from your Desktop. If you can't upload it due to a reputation's issue, please use an online service to upload it and drop us back a link. Thank you and Welcome to AskUbuntu. –  Geppettvs D'Constanzo Jun 27 '13 at 21:35
Additionally, the services that you wish to use should forcefully be these you mention on your question? Or can we provide an alternative? –  Geppettvs D'Constanzo Jun 27 '13 at 21:36
What exactly did you download? The Desktop version of Ubuntu 12.04 should have come with 'Desktop Sharing' (vino server) and the Remmina VNC client both installed by default. You can access the configuration GUI from the dash as 'Desktop Sharing' or by typing vino-preferences in a terminal. Be aware that VNC is not secure and you should not (imho) enable sharing unless you are behind a NAT/firewall - or you take additional measures such as enforcing SSH tunneling. –  steeldriver Sep 1 '13 at 14:53
