I have the reverse problem of a lot of folks trying to get clickpads to work: I have an ordinary touchpad, with two physical buttons below it, that is incorrectly detected as a clickpad. This is on an Asus G46VW laptop, running Kubuntu 13.04.
$ xinput --list ⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)] ⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad id=16 [slave pointer (2)]
The other properties of the touchpad -- two-finger scrolling, tapping, and the like -- all work. The left physical button works, but the right one doesn't -- the computer doesn't even seem aware that it exists. The "clickpad ways" to emulate right-click work, and are configurable in the KDE touchpad configurator (two-finger tapping, tapping in the bottom right), but the actual physical rightclick doesn't work.
Any idea how I can fix this?
