Im using 32bit version of ubuntu and the terminal seems to not detect any directory... any command im trying to use to the folder or a file ends with that error.

The command im trying to use is: chmod -R 0755 /foldername

The files in the /foldername directory are owned by root, so you have to type sudo before your command in order to run it follows:

sudo chmod -R 755 /foldername
