I have an issue I can't download anything, it says the package is broken but when I deleted the packages, It now only partially upgrades things, and even then it doesn't work!!! This is what it says:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages will be REMOVED
  linux-image-3.8.0-19-generic linux-image-extra-3.8.0-19-generic

Type into your terminal sudo apt-get upgrade -f

The -f option should hopefully force the actions required

It didn't work, It returned E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) –  SlayerBossi1324 Jun 19 '13 at 20:40

Do you get the same error with sudo apt-get purge linux-image-3.8.0-19-generic ? –  BiggJJ Jun 19 '13 at 21:06

Yep, exactly the same as sudo apt-get upgrade -f –  SlayerBossi1324 Jun 23 '13 at 14:49
