Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm not sure if this is a problem with the font that is used on the Skype website or if their site has been hacked or if I have got a configuration problem.

Says it all really... is there any way of fixing this?

It appears that firefox's rendering engine, gecko, is the cause of the problem. What FF version are you using? –  Nickolas Jun 19 '13 at 17:33

Google Chrome Version 28.0.1500.45. All other web pages appear working OK –  SimplySimon Jun 19 '13 at 17:46

Give a try disabling the Arial Font. Otherwise, its the website's error and not your browser's. –  Nickolas Jun 19 '13 at 19:12
