My password is kinda long and before I have time to enter it the login times out. I can't get into the box to reset this login timeout time. This is on ubuntu 12.04 server.

Anything I can do?

What is your estimate on how long you need to type your password? Is it more than 60 seconds? (that is the default interactive login on the console timeout I believe in Ubuntu.) –  gertvdijk Jun 17 '13 at 14:57
less than 60 seconds. –  Randy Andy Jun 17 '13 at 14:59
What sort of login are you talking about? Using the virtual terminal (console), this timeout is at 60 seconds on 12.04... How long does it take for you to get the message shown about the timeout reached? For me this is the expected 60 seconds. –  gertvdijk Jun 17 '13 at 14:59
I'm sitting at a terminal with video and keyboard into the server. I don't have ssh into it. –  Randy Andy Jun 17 '13 at 15:00
It doesn't return a timeout msg. It just cancels what I'm doing and asks for username again. –  Randy Andy Jun 17 '13 at 15:01
