I tried to understand other posts but i couldn't get what to do.

I got 2 hard-disks, 1st HDD -2 partions --with windowsxp installed. I used ubuntu's partion manager to install ubuntu in the 2nd HDD, and with option of installing grub in /sda.

now i have error. unable to install GRUB in /dev/sda

i have tried all the other options of HDD the pop up has given me. but would not install.

help me out.

i dont want loose my xp partion, hence installing on a fresh hdd.

ps... i am new to Linux.
