I've read a few other similar questions but all of their solutions require the use of a terminal (from what I gather) and, sorry to be a bit of a newb here, but I can't seem to get to a terminal.
After installing the new driver on boot it get's past post and looks like its going to do something but then just stays black with this [OK] at the top of the screen and it just hangs there.
Should I just boot from a disk and then use the terminal in the 'try ubuntu' mode? If that's so how can I be certain the commands will affect the under lying system? Any help is greatly appreciated.
