Hello I am trying to install Nvidia settings on my laptop the Nvidia drivers seem to have installed correctly and the cuda packages seemed to install ok but when I try to get nvidia settings to work I get this error that says
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distro that some required packages have not been created or moved of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies nvidia-settings: Depends: libc6 (>= 2.14) but 2.11.1-0ubuntu7.12 is to be installed Depends: libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 (>= 2.22.0) but it is not installable Depends: libx11-6 (>= 2:1.4.99.) but 2:1.3.2-lubuntu3 is to be installed
well my problem is when I look up these packages they are all for AMD??? I am running a intel chip in my system and I don't need or want amd packages but nvidia-settings requires them to run? Anyone have a work around?
