I am logging in as root, but it will not let me edit any files. I just want to make some changes to the DHCPD.CONF file. I used to be able to, but now I can't for some reason.

No, I can open the file, it will not allow me to make any changes at all. –  user164657 Jun 5 '13 at 14:47
