Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I had Windows Vista as my one and only OS. I then installed Ubuntu 12.04 as the only one removing W Vista from my Laptop. After a month I installed W Vista again. With Ubuntu 12.04 still on. Dual OS. But Windows had no sound and my eksternal screen was also missing. I have now completely removed Ubuntu from my laptop with only windows on. Like I had it before ubuntu. But still no sound and reading of eksternal screen.

The harddisk have been formated and drivers updated with no difference.

What can i do to get windows back running like before?

Then I can install Ubuntu again. Dual OS with windows installed first. Why is it so importent to not install Ubuntu first in Dual OS?
