Moving away from KDEs plasma desktop (which caused me enough headaches) to LXDE, I'm stuck with one problem: I have a Superkaramba theme I use for about 10 years now, and which is perfectly adjusted to my needs (sensors, quick links, and more, as a kind of super-status-bar). Failing to get it running properly with Superkaramba on LXDE, alternatives are gDesklets or Screenlets AFAIK (but I'm open to alternatives as well).
My question is: is there any way to automatically migrate my theme to one of the other engines?
I lack the time to start from scratch, first having to learn the new fancy "construction kit", and then porting one theme manually. It's not a really complicated theme, just consisting of a
.theme file plus some images (so no
.py file or the like). It's making use of several sensors (CPU, disks, network, date/time), has some icons to start apps or actions (logout, screenlock), plus the sensors are "hot spots" to click for starting corresponding actions (CPU: task manager, Disks: disk manager, etc.).
