Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I use it as my NAS, and when this happens, it also becomes inaccessible over the network, which is very frustrating. The only thing I recently did was attempt to setup my Tonido home cloud software to launch on start up using the code and instructions listed here: http://www.tonido.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4575.

The error that I receive is titled smbd crashed with SIGABRT in rep_strlcpy(). It also tells me that plymouth is obsolete.

After this happened, I undid the elevation on the tonido.sh executable but the problem still occurs. I have also done all the available updates to my system. The only other things that I run on a regular basis are a CrashPlan backup and a Minecraft server, both of which work fine. Also, note that a system restart fixes this problem every time, but it is only a matter of time until this occurs again. At some points I am also presented with an error saying my language support is incomplete, but english is the only language that I use.

A search for this error yielded no results, so I am posting it here. What can I do? Please let me know you need any other additional information.
