I have a problem installing Ubuntu from USB drive with Grub menu showing, but no useful selections available.
I have M51SN Asus Laptop with 3 GB RAM & Core 2 Duo T8300 with 250 GB HDD. I have one 124 GB partition where Windows 7 Professional has been installed from the beginning. I now would like to either use the portable Ubuntu 13.04 from USB or install it onto the remaining space on the HDD.

It seems most people have problems after they install Ubuntu from USB drive, but never before. I'm not sure if I've missed something really obvious. But I can't see what it is - I didn't do any customization - just downloaded the latest ISO and created a bootable USB drive using standard software that automated the process for me.
