I have Ubuntu 12.04. My laptop (Asus UX51VZ) has Mesa DRI Intel(R) Ivybridge Mobile graphics card and Nvidia card GeFroce650m. I used the bumblebee package to switch between the two. When running a graphics application, I randomly get the following error (that is when running it using the intel card. It works with nvidia card):

X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation) Major opcode of failed request: 154 (GLX) Minor opcode of failed request: 3 (X_GLXCreateContext) Serial number of failed request: 1379 Current serial number in output stream: 1383

This happens randomly and only with some software (Mathematica and Chimera, for example) and it happens more often when I try to run a those applications over ssh. Bumblebee is unlikely to be an issue, as this was happening even before I installed it. I have tried running LiveCD with Ubuntu 13.04 and the problem was not present...so it most likely a bug tied to a current version of Xorg server in Ubuntu 12.04? Is it possible to fix it without having to upgrade to 13.04?
