Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Every time I download and restart, restart, or just boot my computer, I get a "Secure Boot, Image failed to verify with ACCESS DENIED. Press any key to continue." Window. Twice. Then brought back to the three option boot menu, with options to try ubuntu without installing, install ubuntu, and check disc for defects. I have tried all. Don't know what to do.

ALSO:I deleted windows and everything. Sooooooo all I've got is this, and can't boot from disk because I can't access the bios screen because the Secure Boot Windows pop up and ruin everything. Please help...

How you tried to install? Boot from dvd or usb? –  NewBiL May 29 '13 at 4:51

Did you go to your bios and disable "secure boot"? (the wording will vary) –  Scott Goodgame May 29 '13 at 4:57

I booted from a usb. And I tried to access my bios, but cant. I see it for a split second and then see the secure boot message. –  Coy May 29 '13 at 4:58

Try Ubuntu desktop 12.04.2 64bit LTS. It is guaranteed to boot on secure-boot machines. –  hmayag May 29 '13 at 7:02
