Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I decided to install Ubuntu as my primary OS on my Retina MacBook Pro (2012), but sadly after installation it does not boot into the OS. Instead, I get the message "no operating system found". I only want to have Ubuntu installed on my system.

During installation I just let Ubuntu partition the drive and create all the necessary parts itself. OpenSUSE boots fine, but it does not work well with MBP, and I personally prefer Ubuntu.

Need some help from the Pros!

p.s. I installed 13.04.
