Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have just installed Kubuntu... it gave me a black screen for about 5 minutes, and then it rebooted and I got in, but... I can't login because I can't use my keyboard.

My keyboard worked using Linux Mint, but I couldn't install Linux Mint, so then I used Ubuntu and it worked too after I rebooted once, but now, it just won't let me type.. I installed with Wubi.

My keyboard is a wireless K350 Logitech Keyboard, i7 3770, GTX 560 graphics card, 8GB RAM. I also have Steel series Diablo III mouse.

NOTE: In safe mode it works, but it only gives one monitor actual display, in the smaller resolution of the other monitor, I still can't do anything with my new OS :)

I think this is just a graphics card issue. Try booting with nomodeset (or in Safe mode) and then install a graphics driver. askubuntu.com/questions/162075/… and askubuntu.com/questions/47506/how-do-i-install-extra-drivers –  bcbc May 21 '13 at 17:00
