I need assistance in Locating drivers for my sound card. If anyone has knowledge about this particular sound card please help. Sometimes it plays well on my headphones, and sometimes it's only the right side that produces sound. If there is none, is there a workaround?

Did you solve your problem? I have a similar VIA card (shows as VT1720/24 [Envy24PT/HT]). Sometimes it doesn't play at all, sometimes only right channel, sometimes I'm able to fix it by disabling-enabling, sometimes nothing helps. Always works under Windows though. –  Art Shayderov Sep 13 '13 at 14:07

I've found a workaround. Sort of. The sound card should be disabled when the system shuts down. Then after the system boots it should be enabled. That way it works always as it should. At least on my system. –  Art Shayderov Sep 21 '13 at 19:02
