OpenShot just released a new version which looks quite promising and I wondered whether PiTiVi would be replaced in future.

Given that the UDS O is in May it may be hard to tell by now already. –  Octavian Damiean Mar 9 '11 at 18:18

I hope so since i used to use both but after openshot got better...and better.... and better. i mean come on. I use openshot for everything i needed pitivi and more. I can even make ubuntu tutorials super easy and upload then to youtube with a perfect framerate and quality. Saves me many hours of testing on pitivi. –  Luis Mar 9 '11 at 18:27

Is there any place where one could suggest that to the developers? –  Toxicbits Mar 9 '11 at 18:39

I retract my previous statement. Just tested 0.14 of PiTiVi and it was amazing. It was like Openshot met Avidemux. It was not just a simple update from 0.13.5 but a whole redo to everything. The speed, new effects and many other features apart from the new stability i could test while cutting pieces of video, adding effects, rendering multiple times it was amazing. No crash whasoever. 0.14 is indeed totally different that its previous version. –  Luis Jun 4 '11 at 20:43
