I'm running 12.10 right now and just recently updated the kernel (a couple times now). I believe that since the update, my usb hardware has been having an issue. First of all it takes a long time JUST to get to grub menu now. After I choose to run Ubuntu, I get the login screen but cannot type or use the mouse. Some of the dmesg output shows up in the top left side of the screen and then when it stops outputting messages, I can move the mouse and log in. I believe this is the offending output:

I wonder if maybe my usb hardware if failing or if this is due to a software problem?
Anyone know what might be causing this?
P.S. My kernel version is 3.2.0-43-generic
