I am booting Ubuntu via VirtualBox. PostgreSQL 8.0 is already installed in the disk image I am using. Now I want to upgrade the PostgreSQL database to a higher version. I tried using:
as a root user. The response was:
command apt-get not found
Think, apt package manager needs to be installed. when I did:
The response was:
No version found.
Also I did not find any file like
\etc. In fact, there was no folder
I do not have access to the graphical UI. Every installation needs to be done via terminal. Any help on how to proceed?
