Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I built a .iso to usb/DVD that always opens the linux desktop directly. The official procedure of Ubuntu is different, it firstly shows a screen "Try Ubuntu" or "Install Ubuntu".

I don't know which DEFAULT value I have to define in the isolinux/txt.cfg.

default live

label live

menu label ^Try Ubuntu without installing

kernel /casper/vmlinuz.efi

append file=/cdrom/preseed/ubuntu.seed boot=casper initrd=/casper/initrd.lz quiet

splash --

label live-install

menu label ^Install Ubuntu

kernel /casper/vmlinuz.efi

append file=/cdrom/preseed/ubuntu.seed boot=casper only-ubiquity initrd=/casper/initrd.lz quiet splash --
