Card Reader was working fine when I was using live USB, but after installation and upgrading it is not even detecting. Initially I got mmc0 error 110 (syslog). After that I tried to install the driver from realtek website, still no yield.

Don't know if this will help or not, but I had a similar problem. SD Card recognixed if booted with it in, but not if put in after boot. Solved by checking BIOS settings for SD Card reader and found it set to "floppy" - changed to Auto and seems to work now....
