I have recently installed Ubuntu 13.04 via software updater in 12.10. I did this over wifi. Now I can't access the internet either through a cat5 or get my wifi to find either. My machine is a acer D260 netbook. Originalyl I wasn't running the 12.10 in partition with windows. Somewhere in the installation process 165 drivers updates etc didn't take. My question is how can I get the necessary drivers for the internet to work? So I can update the software via the internet. I tried to switch my software settings in additional drivers to Broadcom 802.11 Linux STA wireless driver source from bcmwl-kernel-source(proprietary) to no use, it will not allow changes reverts back to do not use this device. I did make an IOS flash stick, but if I put the machine into BIOS using f12 and choosing the usb selection, I dont know where to go from there. Please help.
