nothing to provide here..how to install ubuntu permanetly, while being already booted to ubuntu 12.04.2 trough a external HDD and not being able to go back to windows?

I tried the suggestion with changing the bootloader (which sounds reasonable) but I do also get an error.

There should be an 'install Ubuntu' button on the Desktop when you boot to it on an External HDD? Just click that and follow the instructions. –  Ads20000 May 7 '13 at 17:21
thanks already did that twice(first time replaced windows with ubuntu, second time i replaced ubuntu with ubuntu) but cant boot withoud the external hdd. and when i tried to create a startup disk from, what i believe is my internal storage, the following error appears "org.freedesktop.UDisks.Error.Busy: Cannot unmount because file system on device is busy". –  ralph May 7 '13 at 17:29
