I was able to update bumblebee to be compatible with the nvidia updates coming from repositories but since I am developing CUDA and the current drivers are not capable of debugging cuda code (at least this is my reasoning), I updated the driver by the *.run file provided directly from nvidia. This file updates to 319.17 to my driver and all CUDA facilities are available now on. However before I was able adapting bumblebee by changing its configuration file (/etc/bumblebee/bumblebee.conf) to include new driver path. For the direct Nvidia update driver there is not at the ordinary path not as the drivers (/usr/lib/nvidia_driver_folder) obtained from Ubuntu repository. Therefore I am not able to update that config file now since I do not know the driver's path and the folder to include at config file.
Now my questions are, is there any location folder path of the driver obtained from Nvidia like /usr/lib/... or it is just the combination of files ditributed to different locations? If it is the case is it possible to adapt Bumblebee by its config file as I said or using any other method? Or is there any other method to make use of optimus features, other than bumblebee?
