Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I've recently upgraded from 12.10 to 13.04. Last version worked fine. However, in 13.04 my mouse (usb connection) freezes/stops responding. The keyboard (also usb) still works so I am assuming it's not a usb issue.

I have tried other mice (although, all usb) to no avail.

There appears to be no set time frame within which this occurs (although it ranges from five to around 45 minutes) and it is happening on Unity, Cinnamon and Gnome desktop environments.

Please let me know if you can assist/what further information you need (but, please note, that I'm not that technically gifted so please include clear instructions where you can).

Kind regards,

Gareth
