I have two monitors of different resolutions, one VGA, the other DVI. The VGA one is 1680*1050 and is the one I would like to use as my primary screen. The DVI one is 1280*1024. I have a Radeon 7750 and am using the proprietary drivers.
I cannot enable both monitors at native resolution. Plug in the DVI monitor my system mirrors my displays. If I uncheck mirror, I get an error when I try to apply the change. I disabled the DVI monitor to get the other one to work at native resolution. When I try to enable it, I get the same error as before.
This is the error:
The selected configuration for displays could not be applied required virtual size does not fit available size: requested=(2960, 1050), minimum=(320, 200), maximum=(1680, 1680)
