I don't use linux for any particularly hardcore graphics applications (thankfully, there are nice, stable, proprietary systems for this). I just keep running into this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/1073671
So, I'd like to just use some standard, basic, error-free driver that doesn't trigger those weird things and lets me work without randomly freezing my computer. I even have another, integrated vga device, so I'd be fine with completely disabling the nvidia one while using ubuntu.
Note: I do like linux, specially ubuntu. I just hate its hardware support (or lack thereof), be it ubuntu's fault or not.
