Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a few chat accounts which I use with frequency such as facebook chat, YIM, AIM, and MSN. I'd rather not have to download a client for each one since that would make it a pain to switch between them, not to mention that many chat clients would be taxing on resources.

Sometimes it works fine, but other times I have a lot of trouble logging onto AIM, YIM, and MSN. I know the log in information is all correct, and I enter it over and over again in the online accounts settings, but I keep getting the "grant access" button.

Is this a known issue with Empathy? Do I need to use a different client?

Any advice and help will be appreciated. If it helps I'm using Ubuntu 12.10.
