i got a problem installing Ubuntu 13.04 for Dual Boot with Windows 8. I burned the Ubuntu 64 Bit to a Disk 2 times and on 1 USB Drive just for testing issues. But every time i try to install Ubuntu the installation doesnt start. Everytime i boot from my Disk the Purple Screen appears. If i dont do anything, a black windows appears with a blinking cursor. Then the resolution changes into a higher format, but still there is only a black screen with a blinkign cursor. But in the next 10 seconds the cursor will stop blinking and doesnt do anything. Until the cursor stops blinking im able to restart through Ctrl+alt+del, but the moment the cursor freezes, i aint able to do this anymore. If i click F6 in the Purple Screen, im able to choose a language and to get to a gui with a menu where i can choose if i want to Test Ubuntu or if i want to install it. But theres no matter what i choose, the same problem appears again. Even additional Options dont help (nomodeset etc.).
I already redownloaded the iso, burned it on lowest speed available and verfied it. i turned on IDE Mode in UEFI. With my USB Stick i get to the same screen, but this screen shows me a log of an installation that stops at: ata5: hard resetting link
I got an Asrock H77 Pro4/MVP without Safeboot (havent found the option to deactivate safeboot in UEFI, PC is selfbuilt)
I hope ive been able to explain my problem, although my english isnt the best.
Additionally, im totally new to Ubuntu. I already searched for a solution for this problem, but havent been able to until now.
