I need to connect an Intel Series Panel PC to two DB9 serial connectors. There are 4 COMs and 4 USB ports, ttyS1 is dedicated to Elo TouchScreen serial port,(manually installed, it is serial). I can transfer packet when I connect DB9 to /dev/ttyS0, but connecting it to others tty2 and ttyS3 does not send any packet.
In windows the shipped intel serial driver shall be installed to make the other 3 COMs work! but as I check in linux, kernel has dedicated a unique address and irq to each serial device.
setserial -g /dev/ttyS0 UART: 16550A, Port: 0x03f8, IRQ: 4 setserial -g /dev/ttyS1 Port: 0x02f8, IRQ: 3 setserial -g /dev/ttyS2 0x3e8 IRQ:11 setserial -g /dev/ttyS3 0x02e8, IRQ: 2
is it that I need the same intel serial driver (linux version) to activate the other ports?
