Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have tried the Ubuntu versions 11.10, 12.04 LTS & 12.10
I was very happy with Ubuntu 11.10 (wrt booting time, shutdown time, stability).
Formatted the disk & installed LUbuntu 12.10 i386 from iso cd image.
There is a great increase in boot time; Further, it often says that "system problem detected".
I wish to remove LUbuntu 12.10 LTS and revert to 11.10

I am aware that it is no longer supported.
If I install 11.10, whether I will be able to get software from the repositories?

Is there any great downside by shifting to 11.10 ?(apart from the non-availability of security updates & other updates).

Thanks,

Vineet
