Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a boot DVD that has Ubuntu server 12.04 on it, I have used this cd to install ubuntu server on a desktop computer and it works fine. Although now when I try to install it on a D945GCLF motherboard running an intel atom 230 processor. I get to the purple start up screen that gives you the options of installing and what not and when I go to click install ubuntu server it comes up with the error "/install/vmlinuz: file not found" The title on the window is Boot Loader.

I've searched around trying to find the answer and everyone is talking about the "casper/install/vmlinuz:file not found" but that issue doesn't come up with my error.

Anybody have any ideas?
