Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am a new user to Ubuntu. My Wifi was working fine with Ubuntu. But suddenly it stopped working and my laptop is not able to detect my router. When I switch over to Windows, it works fine.

So the only problem I could think of is with the Driver. Would re-installing my driver solve the problem? If so, how should I do this with Ubuntu? Please be elaborate as I am a relatively new user.

PS: My version of Ubuntu is 12.10.

we need what wireless card you are using. If using a laptop we need the model also. –  Luis Alvarado Apr 22 '13 at 3:48
