When I try to execute

dpkg --configure -a

I get this message:

Please refer to the Troubleshooting section of theInstallation Instructions on the download page. dpkg: error processing jre (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 156 Errors were encountered while processing: jre

I'm trying to configure dpkg because I need to install OpenJDK 7 and I can't. When I execute "apt-get install openjdk-7-jre", that's what's happening:

I found the problem! There was a package named "jre", that was an attempt to install a converted RPM java installation package. With the command "dpkg --list 'jre' I was able to see the description of the package. Then, I located it by the Software Center and removed it. –  CDiego Cavalcanti Apr 22 '13 at 2:29
