Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

You know, in OS X, you can paste some text with an option to match a style of the environment it's being pasted into. Can I do it somehow in Ubuntu?

I don't know about other applications but in LO you can paste your clipboard contents as unformatted text (so that they adhere to the existing formatting) with CTRL + ALT + V. –  Glutanimate Apr 21 '13 at 19:43
