Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am new to Ubuntu, I just installed it and I was trying to install and run Cacti in order to monitor bandwidth usage in four of my remote sites. I tend to have issues with the configuration of # snmpwalk -c public -v1 10.10.0.254. I don't know how to exit from it and also I am not sure if this ip (10.10.0.254) should be one of my public ips for the remote sites or if it should be a local ip. I am also not sure of how to save and exit the terminal after editing it.

If there is anyone out there who can give me a dummy proof step by step about Cacti installatio,n I will really appreciate. Or even any other better remote sites monitoring tools.
