Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have an Acer Aspire S7 which came with Windows 8 (UEFI) installed. I went ahead and installed Ubuntu 12.10 via a LiveUSB and everything seemed okay. After I rebooted, however, I couldn't boot into Windows or Ubuntu ("No bootable device found" -- ouch).

I went ahead and ran boot-repair, but that didn't fix anything: http://paste.ubuntu.com/5720636/

Any ideas? I have virtually no experience with UEFI and I have no access to Windows or Ubuntu (without a USB stick). After doing some research, it appers that it might be impossible to get them to work side-by side (at least on the S7)? (http://njhurst.com/blog/01360215264)
