Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I recently bought an HP2133 second hand off a friend. I installed Fuduntu, but the graphics are unstable and it's a bit slow.So I decided to try Lubuntu. I can boot from my Pen Drive, but when I try to run the install I get to the "Preparing to install" page where it verifies I am connected to a power source and the internet, and I am, but it won't go to the next page of the install wizard, it just freezes up. I'm terribly new to linux, what should I do?
