Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I am currently experiencing issues with my Ubuntu 12.10 when using my USB wifi adapter (WUSB54GC) and WPA-Personal on my Router. The connection would run stable for many hours and then it would start having high packet loss in very frequent intervals. The access link remains but I cannot even ping my own router.

My USB adapter is using the Ralink rt73usb driver.

My router is broadcasting the SSID and uses 802.11b and 802.11g.

I have checked my syslog and kern.log but there are no errors happening on either.

Please help.
