My main problem is that with an Ubuntu 12.10/12.04 installation, Youtube is not willing to cooperate and I need assistant for this problem.
- Sometimes (random encounter) videos are really pixelated/blurry, like they are being rendered in 240p. But my settings on the video are on 720p/1080p.
- When the video is getting very pixelated, the lower bar (this thing) is also very pixelated/blurry and it's a lot bigger than when the video is properly getting rendered as a higher setting
I had the exact same problem on Windows 7 until I installed the latest Nvidia driver for the card (307.83), so I know for certain that this is because of the driver. The problem now is that the drivers that is given to you by the Ubuntu installation (Additional drivers) doesn't fix this problem and I couldn't get the driver from their site to work.
Now the question is: how the hell do I fix this? Is the only choice to install the driver from their website and if so, can someone give me a guide how to do that? I'm new to Linux and I'm getting so frustrated because of this.
